During my study of veterinary medicine at Justus Liebig University Giessen, I was already interested in veterinary osteopathy and equine dentistry. Both disciplines were still young. I did numerous internships with very different working veterinarians and other horse people. After completing my studies, I initially worked in a generalistic manner. In a wild animal park in Oregon, USA, I completed an internship and wrote my doctoral thesis (Anaesthesia of fallow deer, Prof. Sabine Tacke, Giessen).

Back in Germany I worked in mixed animal practices.  In a specialized equine practice, where I worked for two and a half years as an employed veterinarian, I found my old passion for equine medicine again. I was lucky enough to be encouraged in my interest for dentistry and osteopathy. This is when I got my basic training in osteopathy at TAO Equilibre. This was followed by a last digression into zoo and wild animal medicine in the form of a pregnancy representation for the zoo veterinarian in Heidelberg.

Finally, my love for my husband moved me to Franconia in 2013. The love of animals and my work led to my own, specialized practice for equine dentistry and osteopathy (horses and small animals). In my daily work, I enjoy establishing a real connection to my patients, responding to them. In addition, a network has developed over the years in which owners can be advised holistically with regard to training advice, conventional medicine, hoof processing and everything else that goes with it to keep our animals healthy.

Growing up in an Oldenburg horse breeder family, horses have accompanied me for a lifetime. Own horses have always been trained by ourselves, from first habituation phase to class M in the discipline that suited the respective horse the most. This resulted in tournament successes in jumping, dressage and eventing.

During my studies I was successful with the Giessen student riding group at the German championships and with the national student riding team we won some golden ribbons at national prizes both in the dressage and the show jumping individual classification and with the team.

I live with my family consisting of my husband, our son, a dog and two horses.
